Description
At a Glance
A four-section aluminum track for ceiling or wall mounting, used for full-height curtains and room dividers. Joined, the sections make a 142.1 in (3.6 m) straight run. Two hook and clip styles cover different curtain headers, and the track can be cut if the opening is shorter than the full length.
A Track That Reads as Part of the Ceiling
A curtain rod sits in front of the window. A ceiling track sits above it, so the curtain appears to fall from the ceiling itself. That is the difference this set is for: full-height curtains, a clean line across a wide opening, and the ability to divide a room without building a wall. The track is white aluminum, 1.42 kg for the complete run, and can be mounted to a ceiling or a wall.

Four Sections, One Straight Run
The set contains four track sections, each 35 in (900 mm) long. Joined with the supplied connectors, they make a 142.1 in (3.6 m) run. Each section is rigid aluminum, so this is a straight installation: plan the run as one line rather than expecting the track to curve around a corner. If the opening is shorter than 11.8 ft, cut the sections to length with a metal-cutting tool and file the cut edge smooth so the runners do not catch.
Ceiling Mount or Wall Mount
Ceiling mounting gives the floor-to-ceiling look and is the better choice for a room divider, because there is no gap above the curtain. Wall mounting works where the ceiling is high, where joists are hard to find, or where you want the track to sit at the same height as a window frame. Choose the position before drilling. The track has to carry the weight of the curtain plus the pull of everyday use, so fix into joists or use anchors rated for the load.
Hooks, Clips and Curtain Headers
The kit includes two types of detachable hooks and clips, which lets it work with more than one curtain header style. Match the hook to how your curtain is made: pleated and pinch-pleat headers hang differently, and the clips have to sit so the curtain folds evenly when it is pulled. Test the first few hooks before hanging the full panel.
Installation Notes
The set ships with mounting hardware, but the fasteners that come with any track are chosen for a generic surface. Concrete, hollow drywall and timber ceilings each need a different anchor. Use the supplied screws where they suit the substrate and swap them where they do not. Two people make an 11.8 ft run much easier: one holds the track at height while the other marks and drives the fixings.
No load rating is published for this track, so keep the curtain within what the mounting points can safely hold and add brackets rather than stretching the spacing on a long run.
Planning the Drop
Measure from the mounting surface to the floor before ordering or cutting a curtain. A ceiling track usually needs a curtain long enough to reach the floor or just clear it, while a wall-mounted track is measured to the height you want the hem. Add a little length for header take-up, and check that the curtain can be pulled clear of radiators, furniture and door swings.
