Great air filter that does not block airflow!
I recently got fed up with the one-time use air filters that tend to clog my furnace airflow to the point where the system would give me an error message. What good would it be for an air filter to completely block the air flow? In fact, I’ve tried an expensive washable air filter prior to getting this one as well. It did not perform up to par. So just because it cost more doesn’t mean it necessarily is better, at least from an airflow perspective. Anyway, that’s where this VEVOR Electrostatic Air Filter comes in! I waited for a week before posting this review to make sure it doesn’t exhibit the same problem as the other air filters. I’m happy to say that this air filter does not block airflow while maintaining a MERV 8 rating (which is mostly what you get from those one time use ones anyway). While there is a notable noise increase after inserting the air filter, it does not have any other side effects that I can observe or hear. Unlike other air filters that have one side facing towards/away from the air flow, this VEVOR Electrostatic Air Filter did not have such specification (at least not in the instruction manual or on the filter itself). As you can see from the two pictures, they are taken from both sides and they’re identical. I also read that we should clean the filter with water once every two to three months & should ensure it is 100% dry before plugging it back into the furnace. Haven’t tried it yet, but will report back if something unexpected happens! Overall, I think this is the best bang for buck air filter you can get purchase in May 2026. Highly recommend!
