Description
At a Glance
A two-rating hand truck for deliveries, moves and groceries. The 650 lb figure applies only on flat ground; once the cart is on stairs, the limit drops to 330 lb. Three wheels per side roll over step edges, the aluminum frame folds for storage, and a telescoping pull handle keeps the load behind you on stairs.
Two Ratings, and Only One Applies on Stairs
This cart is rated 650 lb (295 kg) on flat ground and 330 lb (150 kg) on stairs. Those are not two ways of saying the same thing. The flat rating assumes the load is rolling on a level surface; on stairs, each wheel takes the load at an angle and the frame sees forces it does not see on concrete. Once the cart touches a step, 330 lb is the number that matters.

How the Tri-Wheel Climb Works
Each side carries a cluster of three wheels. As you pull the cart up, one wheel contacts the step edge, then the next, so the load rises in smaller increments instead of dropping the full weight onto a single axle. That is the difference between dragging a box up a flight and rolling it.
The TPR tread grips the step edge and the PP core keeps the wheel light. The combination works indoors and on paved surfaces; loose gravel and soft ground are not what this wheel design is for.
Loading and Balance
Put the heaviest part of the load over the deck and toward the handle side, then strap it with the two bungee cords. A tall box that can shift is more dangerous than a heavier box that cannot. Keep the load centered on the 17.72 x 7.09 in deck rather than hanging over one edge.
Going Up and Coming Down
On the way up, tilt the cart toward you and pull; let the wheels do the lifting. On the way down, the load wants to run ahead of you, so keep the cart tilted back and take one step at a time. A lighter load on the descent is easier on your arms and the frame.
Storage and Transport
The aluminum frame folds and weighs 19.84 lb (9 kg), so it can live in a closet or the back of a van between jobs. Check the folded size against your storage space, and keep the wheels clean of grit so the clusters keep rolling freely.
