Above Ground Sand Pool Filter Pump Runs 0.75 HP Copper Motor at 3500 GPH
The VEVOR sand pool filter pump moves 3,500 gallons per hour through a 13-inch filter tank powered by a 0.75 HP copper-wound motor. This feature makes it perfect for mid-range residential above-ground pools that are too big for smaller 12-inch systems and too small for bigger 16-inch systems. Copper motor windings make sure that the electrical performance stays the same, no matter what the outdoor temperature is, from cool spring mornings to the hottest summer afternoons.
13-Inch Filter Tank with Pre-Assembled Core Installs Like Building Blocks
The 13-inch-diameter filter tank on this sand pool filter pump falls between the compact 12-inch entry-level class and the high-capacity 16-inch tier. It has a media bed volume that works well for mid-sized residential above-ground pool installations without the bulk, weight, and extra cost of larger tanks that are too big for the pools they serve. The 13-inch size is the best fit for pool owners whose water volume has grown too large for smaller systems to handle.
6 Way Valve Manages Filter, Backwash, Rinse, Waste, Winter & Closed Operations
This sand pool filter pump features a six-position multi-port valve that replaces the separate valves and manual bypass setups required by single-mode filter systems. It combines all the pool maintenance water-flow functions into a single rotating selector that instantly changes the internal flow path between positions. This single-valve design handles the entire year’s pool maintenance without requiring extra plumbing parts or hardware changes between maintenance modes.
Leak Resistant Multi-Port Valve & Threaded Fittings Seal the 2 Key Drip Points
This above ground sand pool filter pump is leak-proof at two points: the multi-port valve seat, where internal flow transitions create pressure differences across the seal surface, and the external threaded hose fittings, where repeated seasonal connection and disconnection cycles gradually wear down thread engagement and seal compression.

Pool pump
Ordered this pump for our pool we just bought this season. The pumps that usually come with those boxed pools are junk. This pump is being used on a 16×48 pool size. Works very well so far I only have had to use chlorine and have a chlorine tablet floater in the pool. I have not used any other chemicals in our pool in our pool is crystal clear. I only run the pump about 4 to 6 hours a day and sometimes it’s not everyday. Great investment

works well for the size it is. 18 ft pool 16 in filter
purchased in Aug 2026 for a 18 by 4 foot pool. the filter attached with the hoses already on the pool, works well but the pressure out the return is not what I expected. Comes fitted with filter media already, no need for sand. be ready to backwash and clean the filter media before use, I needed a waste water hose because of the way it attached to my pool hoses before I could start using it.

Get upgraded hoses
I bought this pump 1 week ago and it came just as advertised connect the pool hoses and electrical and turn on the pump. I do recommend getting better hoses ( if you got a cheaper pool that came with a pump and hoses) or hard piping. But as far as the quality and ease of use I love it.

Leaking pump
I have taken every fitting apart and redone it several times and still the pump leaks. I cannot figure out where the water is coming from but the pool goes down 2 inches every single day since I put the pump on.

16x10 oval above ground pool
So far this pump has not disappointed. saw a big difference in over just a one night sweep of running this pump after setting it up, i at the same time switched from regular pool hose to pvc pipe for this new pump! big big difference and love it so far!

Clear water
Works great!!! We have an Intex pool that was always clear but cloudy water. We changed the pump to the his new one and our pool water is now crystal clear. It cleared it up with a few hours after hook up.

Pool pump
Very simple to put together and use. The pump has some power and is working great. Only thing I don’t like is there is no on off switch so you have to unplug it to turn it off all the time to switch from backwash, rinse and filter.

Excellent flow rate
I ordered the VEVOR FlashPure Sand Filter Pump, 14 inch, 0.75 HP, 3500 GPH, and this system really impressed me right out of the box. Everything was packaged neatly and the unit comes with the filtration media already installed which saves a lot of setup time. The housing feels sturdy and the control valve is clearly labeled which makes the initial assembly very straightforward. Even without sand inside, the unit feels well built, although it is quite light when empty which is something to keep in mind when positioning it. The included hoses and fittings feel durable, and the clamps tighten evenly without slipping. Because it is winter here I cannot run it on my pool yet, but I did test the pump using buckets of water and the flow rate is excellent. It moves a surprising amount of water with strong pressure, and it primes quickly which is always a good sign for long term reliability. At 3500 gallons per hour, this filter can cycle an entire 12-foot round, 48-inch-deep pool in under an hour, which is impressive for a system in this price range. The motor runs smoothly and the sound level is reasonable for a pump of this size. One thing I really like is how easy it is to install. The hoses connect securely, the clamps tighten evenly, and the multiport valve feels smooth when switching between settings. The timer feature is a great bonus because it allows you to automate filtration cycles without needing a separate plug timer. Everything about the design feels user friendly which is ideal for above ground pool owners who want something simple but effective. The included media also means you do not have to buy sand separately which saves time and money. I could also see people using a filter like this for backyard ponds or water features because the flow rate is strong enough to handle larger bodies of water. The pressure it produces would be more than enough to run a waterfall or circulation loop. Once summer arrives, I am confident this pump will do an excellent job k

Very well made and well thought out. If you need a new filter pump, give this one a serious look.
It appears I may be the first person reviewing this pump. Unfortunately, it is still a bit too cold here in North Texas to set up the pool, so this review is primarily based on the unboxing and initial inspection. Over the years we’ve owned several above-ground pools. Last year I expanded our patio area and installed an 18-foot pool. It worked well overall, but the Bestway pump that came with it left a lot to be desired. The valve positions were marked with symbols instead of clear labels, and it did not include a built-in timer, which made daily operation less convenient. For this season I chose the Vevor 12-inch, 3/4 HP filter pump. One of the first things I noticed is that the valve positions are clearly labeled, which is a big improvement over pumps that rely on icons alone. The unit also comes preloaded with filter ball media. Filter balls are a nice alternative to sand because they keep the pump much lighter and easier to handle until the chamber is filled with water. At the end of the season I typically wash the filter balls rather than replace media. Cleaning them can be a bit unpleasant due to trapped debris and insects, and unlike sand, backwashing does not work the same way. After rinsing them out, I usually run a washing machine cleaning cycle to remove any residue. One advantage is that the filter balls can be reused season after season, whereas sand generally needs to be replaced more frequently. For demonstration purposes I removed the valve head to show the filter balls inside, although this step is not required during normal setup. The pump itself features a powerful 3/4 HP motor and includes a leaf trap to catch larger debris before it reaches the filter. It also comes with a separate plug-in timer that connects to the pump’s power port. I like this design because the timer can easily be replaced if it fails, and it could also be used for other applications during the off-season. Overall, the unit appears to be well built and thoughtfully desi
