1320 lb Electric Hoist, 1150W Garage Hoist with 328 ft Wireless Remote and Auto-Brake
This is a 1320 lb electric hoist for lifting loads vertically in a garage, workshop or shed. The motor runs on 110 V and drives a steel cable through a pulley block. It is controlled by wireless remote, and it is meant to lift, hold and lower a load on a hook, not to pull it sideways.

Single line versus double line
The capacity printed on the supplier table and the number on the control graphic can look different, because the load rating changes with the way the cable is run. On a single line, the hook hangs directly from the cable and the hoist lifts 660 lb to 39.4 ft / 12 m. When the cable is doubled through the supplied pulley hook, two cable runs share the load, the rating rises to 1320 lb and the travel halves to 19.7 ft / 6 m. Decide which mode you need before buying: the heavier rating costs you half the lifting height.
Control
Control is wireless only, with a range the supplier lists as 328 ft. There is no wired handle on this model. The control includes an emergency stop, and the motor has a limit switch at the top of travel so the hook stops instead of pulling into the housing.
Brake and holding
The hoist has an auto-brake: when the motor stops, the brake holds the load where it is, so releasing the button does not drop the hook. That is what makes a hoist different from a rope puller. It also means the load stays suspended if the power is cut, so never stand or work underneath a hanging load.
Mounting and first use
Mount the hoist to a beam or bracket rated for the load you intend to lift, not to a shelf or a timber rafter that was never designed for it. Check that the cable runs straight from the drum to the hook without rubbing on the frame. Run the empty hook up to the limit switch once, then down, before the first load. Inspect the cable for kinks or broken strands before each use.
What it is used for
Garage hoists are commonly used for engines and gearboxes, ATV and motorcycle lifts, deer and game, bicycles and kayaks on ceiling racks, and heavy boxed stock that should not be carried up a ladder. The single-line rating is the one to use for a straight vertical pull unless you have rigged the double line.
Safety notes
Never lift people. Never exceed the rating for the line configuration in use. Keep hands and feet clear of the load path, and do not walk or work under a suspended load. Do not use the hoist to drag a load sideways or to pull a vehicle. Check the mounting and the cable before each session.
