4.8 CFM Single-Stage Vacuum Pump
This 4.8 CFM, 1/3 HP single-stage pump comes as a complete HVAC service kit with a manifold gauge, four color-coded hoses, can taps, adapters and a hard case. It sits between the compact 3 CFM sets and the high-capacity 12 CFM pump, making it useful for routine vehicle AC work and small refrigeration jobs.

What is in the box: Pump, manifold gauge, four color-coded service hoses, can taps, adapter fittings and a hard carrying case.
What 4.8 CFM and a single-stage design mean
Free air displacement tells you how much air the pump can move at its inlet under flow conditions. It is not the same as the flow rate once the system is near deep vacuum. A higher CFM pump tends to shorten the time needed to remove the initial volume of air, while the final micron reading depends on the pump’s ultimate vacuum, the condition of its oil, the hoses, the manifold seals and the leak tightness of the system.
The specification table lists this pump as 1/3 HP, model ZK44.8CFM and 4.8 CFM. Confirm those figures against the nameplate if your job requires a specific motor size. Four hoses add flexibility when the service setup needs separate connections, but every extra joint is another potential leak path, so leak-test the assembly before opening the system.
Fittings and service setup
The listed intake fittings are 1/4 in. and 3/8 in. intake fittings. Check the thread and flare style against your manifold before connecting a hose. Use short, pressure-rated service hoses, replace damaged gaskets and keep the hose ends capped when they are not in use. A small air leak or a worn Schrader-core tool can make a good pump look weak because the micron reading never settles.
Where this kit fits
The 4.8 CFM capacity suits passenger-car AC, small coolers, dehumidifiers and light refrigeration maintenance. It is also useful for a mobile technician who wants a full case kit but does not want to carry a 1 HP pump. For a large commercial circuit, multiple simultaneous pulls or very long lines, a two-stage pump with higher displacement is the more suitable tool.
- Evacuation: pull down with the service valves arranged according to the equipment procedure, then let the pump run long enough for moisture to leave the system.
- Leak check: isolate the pump and watch the vacuum hold. A rising gauge points to a leak or outgassing, not a reason to add refrigerant.
- Oil check: keep oil between the sight-glass marks and replace it when it looks cloudy, dark or contaminated.
- Heat: use the cooling fan and give the pump a sensible duty cycle; a hot body is a warning to stop and inspect.
Choosing this pump
Choose this kit if you want more speed than the 3 CFM set without moving to the larger 12 CFM pump. If you already own gauges and hoses, the bare 4.5 CFM pump costs less hardware to carry, while this kit saves you from assembling the rest of the service setup separately.
Before the first job
Confirm the supply voltage, set the pump on a level surface and check that the exhaust is not blocked. Fill the oil to the correct mark, close the inlet valve, and run a short no-load check while watching for unusual noise or oil movement. For refrigerant work, follow the equipment maker’s evacuation target, use a micron gauge, and never use vacuum alone as proof that a system is leak-free.
Wholesale pricing
One unit, wholesale pricing. The listed price is the wholesale rate for one pump. There is no minimum order quantity and no separate tier price, so buying one unit and buying several units use the same listed unit price.
