Description
At a Glance
1,200 sq ft of 5.8 oz dual-layer fabric, 4 ft wide by 300 ft long, in a 42 lb roll. The biggest of the heavy rolls here, aimed at driveways, under-paver patios and utility areas that will not be reopened.
1,200 Sq Ft for Ground You Will Not Reopen
Four feet by 300 ft is 1,200 sq ft, enough for a driveway lane or a patio footprint in one continuous run. This is the size and weight you buy when the fabric is going under base aggregate and staying there, because replacing it means lifting everything on top.

Why Driveways Need Fabric at All
Weed control is the second reason. The first is separation. Gravel over bare soil migrates downward under load, the two materials mix, drainage falls off and the surface ruts. A dual-layer 5.8 oz fabric keeps the layers apart while still passing water, which is what keeps the base working year after year.
Sitting Under the Base, Not on It
The standard build is subgrade, fabric, compacted base, then the surface stone or pavers. Fabric placed between the base and the surface does not do the separation job, and it is exposed to the bedding material, which wears it out faster.
Smaller and Narrower Options
For a patio or a walkway rather than a driveway, the 4 x 100 ft heavy duty weed barrier fabric covers 400 sq ft. If a single lane is wider than 4 ft, the 13 x 108 ft weed barrier for a gravel driveway crosses it in one drop in 5 oz.
