I bought this to drill 5 holes in a large length of RHS, as it was far easier than trying to set it up on my drill press. As it turned out, of the 11 core drills that came with it it, the smallest core drill was the right size, the internal pilot ensured the hole ended exactly where it was meant to be. The sliding mechanism was appropriately tight and devoid of free play & the magnet seemed to hold the drill firmly. The drill bit I used punched straight through the steel without wandering, so overall I’m very happy with the purchase
