Woven or Non-Woven?
Woven fabric is a grid of polypropylene tapes: strong in tension, drains through the weave, and holds its shape under mulch. Non-woven fabric is a mat of bonded fibres: it filters finer particles and drapes better around curves, which is why it is used in drainage work. For weed control in beds and under gravel, the woven type is the one to choose.
Plastic Sheeting Is Not a Substitute
